I'm using my small sample of Riwayat By An Najwa This I have ordered two x 2.5g bottles. Used last night before bed still having a lovely blast it this morning. A wonderful old style Hindi Oudh. Hay, wood, slight cheese, Tobacco in there as well. Some fruit coming through but not sure which, but a lovely evolving Hindi distilled earlier in the year 2022, this will pack a punch with a bit of time added. So glad I got the extra grams. This House is producing some really nice oils..
Riwayat is the first fragrance I've worn in a week since contracting Covid. A short 5 day soak and low temperature Distillation in the old ways. As soon as it touches skin I get wafts from arms length. Buttery cheese, viscous and silky smoothed texture with a strong woody essence. The cheesiness fades to leathery mid-tones, the overall impression is neither too dark not too light. There are notes of dry grass and hints of golden hay, as it wears, and it wears well into the hours, picking up facets of dried dark fruit & honey'd tobacco. This oil is very rounded, no sharp edges and it's one of the better performing oils in my stable. Overall I place this 2022 oil among my favourite Hindi, which are my most treasured oils and I'm positive it's going to improve with age.
Received my order today and this oil is something special for me already. Happy experience all the way. Prompt service and Shipping and an incredibly generous set of free samples. Thank you An Najwa
I've been wearing Ghaliyah Banu Hashim almost every single day! It's such a complex and calming scent, and how it develops, evening in the summer months is spectacular. Alongside l've been swiping some Ward Ta'ifi and with your Ghaliyah it boosts the powderness and the two combine so effortlessly. But it's also cooling enough to wear during the hotter days we've recently been having. A spectacular blend, but above all it's brought me so much comfort during this difficult time, in that regardless it is unmatched! That one brother was absolutely right, I've smelled other, outrageously expensive Ghaliyahs and Subhanallah yours outshines them!
I wore Khaltat Baghdad (An Najwa) last night for the 1st time. Ma-sha-Allah, it has that fruit infected oudy smell with musky (ambergris and deer musk) nuances that I am so fond of in GBH. In KB, it is taken to a different path. I am also enjoying it's gentle purple oudy nuances in the heart and trail. Lots of twists and turns throughout as usual - just the way I like them.
Got myself a full 3g of this stunningly rich and resinous oil, the majority of which I will be using to macerate some Siberian musc. Very slight barnyard opening but only really out of the bottle, once it's on the skin that disappears quickly. Man does this smell good. Pretty much exactly like a well heated chip. Pure incense lushness.
